The community has raised a numbers of  issues with the municipality through ward committees and community development workers with not reasonable answers, issues ranges from the failure by the municipality to ensure that all the towns pay municipal rates especial Dullstroom and Sakhelwe Township.

Others complained about the slow pace in dealing with the issue of RDP houses in extension 8&9 and extension 7 as currently in the extension only 5 houses has been built thus far instead of 240 houses and the issue of Beer hall (Koto building) as it is believed that households contributed to the construction of the building during the early years of the establishment of the location.

The update on the progress regarding the issue of the proposed sports academy hence millions of Rands of taxpayers were used to purchase the land from the municipality by the provincial government and budget was allocated for the project by the province and national, but now no one wants to tell the public what happened with their money.

The municipality is again failing to account for some of the buildings and properties that belonged to the community and if were sold how much was made from such sales and the community again complained about the process of indigents as some said other households did not deserve the assistance but councilors and CDW.s approved them and municipality is dismally failing to enforce by-laws to maintain order and institute fines in order to enhance revenue collection.

The youth also complained about the high unemployment rate in the municipality in particular amongst themselves and young graduates as it has emerged that some of the councilors and municipal officials are saying that no young person shall be employed by the municipality unless there are comrades and members of the youth league.
