Jacolinda Mnisi  9 years old a student from Carrissa School  entered the Shoprite Dream Big Competition, the competition was only open to learners at government schools with schools fees less than R5000 per annum , In the cases where school doesn’t charge school fees , stationary packs where awarded instead.

To win the competition the child must first fill in the entry form and write a short essay or draw a picture of what he/she wants to become when she/he grows up and  could stand a chance to win  school fees for the whole year.

There is a popular quote that states “A picture is worth a thousand words” ,the class of 2016 winner Jacolinda drew a beautiful picture of an artist since she wanted to be an artist when she grows up. A cheque of R4620.00 was presented to her on the 8 February 2016 at Shoprite Metropolitan.
